NUS–USyd Economics Society Collaborative Research Project (2025)
From July to August 2025, NUS Economics Society partnered with the USyd Economics Society for a joint research initiative exploring economic resilience and policy effectiveness in global contexts.
Two teams of undergraduate researchers co-authored essays examining pressing macroeconomic issues:
Economic Dependency and Resilience: Trump Tariff Impacts on Singapore’s Trade-Dependent Economy
Assessing the Effectiveness of Fiscal Policy in Addressing Labour Productivity Stagnation in Australia
Through this collaboration, seven writers and three editors worked across borders, combining diverse perspectives to deliver insightful, well-researched analyses. The project emphasised the value of international academic exchange and strengthened ties between our students and peers in Australia.
